Quechua Trekking Backpack-60L is made for trekking in “backpacker” style i.e. travelling on marked trails for several days. A simple, light, practical bag with pockets and easy access, practical for occasional hiking and travelling.

Great backpack if you are a solo traveller. If you are travelling with an organised group, you can put all of your things in it & give this bag to the porter.

Look & Feel

The design of the backpack is very practical. There are no added frills, but all the required straps and cords to adjust the backpack.

Multiple Compartments

Adding to its utility value, Quechua Trekking Backpack-60L has included very useful compartments to the rucksack. You can keep water bottles in the mesh side-pocket. On the left, there is a large utility pocket that runs along the side, and a smaller pocket below. It is quite handy to keep your accessories. You can use the smaller pocket to keep cell phone charger/power bank. It has a roomy bottom compartment. This is where you can keep your wet clothes/jackets/sleeping bags, etc. This compartment usually is cramped in most rucksacks. But, in Quechua Trekking Backpack-60L there is a lot of room left.

The Quechua Trekking Backpack-60L has pockets everywhere. That helps in keeping all items/clothes/accessories in an organised fashion. It has a flap for the hydration pack. The top loader is quite big and you can store all your important and handy things in it.

Straps & Cushioning

Strap the bag over your shoulders and you’ll notice how comfortable the backpack feels.

Hip belt: The hip belt is adjustable and locks in well. This distributes the weight evenly over both the shoulders. Though we do not recommend overloading backpacks, if need be, this bag can handle such situations as well.

Chest Strap: Easily adjustable and pulls the bag ahead. This brings the bag’s centre of gravity much closer to your body. This distributes the weight throughout your back rather than just your shoulders.

Shoulder Straps: If you have a lot of load in your upper compartment, then you need to tighten this strap. This very small strap and very small adjustment can mean no shoulder ache at the end of your trek day.

Bottle Pocket Straps: If you want to keep anything other than your water bottle in the side pockets, then you can use these straps to tighten the pocket

Trekking Pole: Straps in front are provided to carry trekking poles.

Bottle Pouch: It has two large bottle pouches at the sides that can easily hold 1L bottle. Also, straps are provided to tighten your bottle pocket.

Tent/Mattress: You can attach tent and mattress easily on the hooks provided.

Backpack balance is what separates a good rucksack from a shoddy one and Quechua Trekking Backpack-60L sure knows how to stay upright. The load is well-distributed. It has a metal frame structure that not only keeps the backpack straight but also keeps your back straight while you trek with a heavy load.

Backpack breathability is a very important thing.  It controls how soon will you get tired. When you trek, you produce a lot of heat and it needs to disseminate from your body. Else, your body temperature will rise, you will sweat more, dehydrate and then get tired. So, it is very important that your backpack is breathable cause it covers more than 40% of your mass. Quechua Trekking Backpack-60L does an amazing job of circulating the air from your back and making you less sweat from your back. Quechua Trekking Backpack-60L is known for its superb air ventilation design. This aids back perspiration. It also increases the durability. The back-side mesh helps cool off your sweaty back as you trek.

Put your bedding at the bottom. Carry heavy gear (tent, stove, food) closest to your back. Pack your clothes around these items. The groundsheet should be placed under the flap and the tent beneath the pack if there is no space inside. Keep a rainproof jacket and fleece close at hand. Place small items for daily use (sun cream, map, glasses etc.) in the pockets. If carrying a hydration pack (water bladder), this should be placed in its special pocket along the back.

Set the bag for the height you think will be correct and then adjust it (cf. "Adjusting your backpack"). With the belt on your pelvis, put the straps around the front part of your shoulders and the load adjuster straps (which are sometimes also height-adjustable) at an angle of around 45° (they should never be horizontal or vertical). When trying it on, if the back seems too short or too long, readjust and try again until you are satisfied.

First, loosen all straps (shoulder straps, belt, load adjuster straps). Put the backpack on. For backpacks with a capacity of 50 L or more, place the hip belt correctly (it should sit over the pelvis) and tighten it. Tighten the shoulder straps. Finally, adjust the load adjuster straps as needed.   items to pack Click to know: What Items to Pack
